By depositing $5 into a Savings Account at UCU, you are considered a "member". You aren't a customer here - you're a part owner of the institutions, and this is how it all starts.

UCU's Student Checking has NO minimum balance, NO monthly service charge, FREE Bill Pay, and basically anything else you might need.  

FREE Online Banking
Free and easy to access, view your accounts online, set up Bill Pay, make transfers between accounts, and more. Visit UCU@Home to get started.

Save yourself time and money - Pay all your bills from one place using UCU's FREE Online Bill Pay.  

ATM/Debit Card
You'll automatically receive a Debit Card that you can use to withdraw cash at ATMs and anywhere that accepts MasterCard. There's NO CHARGE to use your card online or in stores...really! Plus, you receive 10 free non-UCU ATM transactions per month and have access to SUM ATMs for surcharge-free transactions.  

College Rewards Visa Credit Card
Great rate, no yearly fee, and you earn points for rewards. You can apply by clicking here.  

Student Loans
Need extra help funding your education? We have you covered. UCU Private Education Loans to help you pay tuition and expenses. Apply online now or call the Loan Department at 617-739-7447, Option 1 to speak to a representative.  

Shared Branching
Only live in Boston during the school year? No need to worry. UCU is part of a Shared Branching network, which means you can perform transactions at any participating credit union - over 4,000 locations in the United States and internationally.  

Once a Member, Always a Member
Even after you graduate, you can maintain your membership at UCU and continue to benefit from competitive rates and excellent service.

"I like to save time and money! How do I sign up?"
It's easy. Click on the "Become a Member" link on the left side of the page. Answer a few questions, and someone from our Member Service Department will call you and let you know your account is all set. You can also visit one of our branches: 846 Commonwealth Avenue or 710 Albany Street in Boston.
